On draught at the brewpub with Muzzlehatch, 5/21/2005. Hazy auburn-amber, with chocolate overtones, no head, no lacing, bit of fizziness. Smells of acidic mash of brown malt extract. Diacetyl. Flavor is simple sugariness, bit of dirty dish rags, brown sugar, ahhh I don’t know. I like to write alot about a beer, but you just can’t here. Medium-light body, moderate carbonation. Dry finish, astringent mouthfeel, like too much roasted malts.

On draught at the brewpub in Portland with Muzzlehatch on 5/21/2005. Another light straw colored beer, only moderately hazy with a small white dying head, no lace. Aroma of light wheat, bubble gum, a bit of bitterness. Peppery flavor has highly attenuated malt notes. Lemons on the finish, lightly sour yeast and fleeting bitterness. Herbs, banana chips. Light body, VERY watery, moderate carbonation. 5/2/5/2/9
2006 bottle consumed on 4/15/06. Smells of plenty of bananas, cream of wheat, and sweet tangerines. Banana and citrus esters create a zesty spiciness while dry wheat adds substance. Deep pils malt smooth-sweetness that mixes with the citrus to come across quite juicy. Unfortunately, the small white head quickly fades to ring, atop the unfiltered, very cloudy body. Rusty, dried pineapple color or golden raisin, if you will. No lacing.
Warm honey-wheat dough, light pale malt sugariness and spicy, but light clove all come off boldly, with nearly-sweet wheatiness balancing. Juicy bubblegum and oranges burst about via natural carbonation. Correct attenuation and not too heavy on phenols. Estery, with very substantive wheat. Light wateriness on end, no alcohol. 7/2/7/3/14 Rating is an average of the draught and bottle.

On draught at the brewpub, 5/21/2005 with the lobster-roll himself, Muzzlehatch. Light gold, clear, wispy white head dies quickly, no lacing. Smells of light sourness dare I say there is munich malt in here? Light body, little malt sweetness, watery texture, moderate carbonation, some corn notes and a touch of bitterness. Finishes with some diacetyl and sourness, kind of an odd mix. Drinkable though, no real big flaws (other than it being very low flavored and watery). Tough to live up to the other low gravity stuff we had on this trip by this point (Marthas Volstead and Portsmouth Cream and Mild and Whale Tail Pale)

Dark brown; nutty, toffeeish aroma. Sweetish palate with decent malt development. Toasty, toasty, toasty.

Very dark brown. Chocolatey/hoppy mix in the aroma. Fair bit of roast in the palate. Straight-up stout, with hints of lemony hop. Assertive, dry and tasty.

Draft. A nice hoppy beer. Not as hoppy as a west coast IPA, but hoppier than most New England beers. Slight Caramel flavor on top of fruity hops.

Is this a Miller Lite? I had to check the receipt to make sure. Actually it's very nutty (too much so) and a little darker than a Miller Lite, but the thin beer just didn't do it for me.
