This brew is a clear copper-gold color with a medium foamy off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of citrus and malt. Light-bodied with a mildly bitter hops character with some metallic notes behind it. Touches of sweet malt and ripe fruit as well. The finish is short and hoppy. Not up to par.

Draft, brewpub Portland. Transparent golden color, tiny white head, some how even with light head it did have some retention. Nose of citrus hops and mild malt. Taste has a solid amount of bitterness. Hopheads would like this, if not they have a double IPA. This has a nice lingering bitterness that stayed with me after I finished. Only down fall is the body is thin.

Draft @ brewpub in Portland, ME. Deep brown with a nice tan head that coated the glass with lace. Light roasted malt and barley nose. The taste is slightly above average. The typical roasted malt, barley with a light chocolate hint. Finish does linger a bit. It’s a nice porter.

Sweet bonus IPA from a recent trade, thank you. The 12oz bottle pours clear copper with thin gold hues and small off white head. The aroma offers up a nice pine hoppiness mixing with muted yet malt sweetened tangelo and a touch of toffee. I like the level of pine but something else there isn’t mingling too well. I think I’m getting a bit of earthy hops and toffee too. The taste is similar with some pleasing bitter pine hops that are deepened by some sweet malts and a light amount of citrus hoppiness. The hops maintain a nice hop bitterness all the way through into the finish but also deliver a moderate level of hop flavor to keep it interesting. Darn nice IPA.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear amber with a small off-white head. Nice aroma of floral, citric and slightly piney hops and hints of cookies. Later whiffs reveal some graininess. Bitter hoppy flavor with only very light caramelly sweetness. Medium-bodied. A bit one-dimensional, but quite enjoyable and quaffable.

22oz bottle pours a translucent ruby red with some ringing white head. Nose is oranges, caramel, whiskey, vanilla, lots of bourbon. Flavor has a ton of bourbon too, vanilla, coconut, caramel sugary, orange, lime. Almost had some coconut cream pie. Full bodied, sweet and astringent finish.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Hazy dark amber color with a tiny off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light hoppy notes (slightly stale) and light fruitiness. Sweetish malt flavor with caramel and grainy hints, continues moderately bitter with slightly resinous, dusty and kinda old hops. Medium-bodied. Not great, possibly past its prime.

Transparent amber, no head or lace in my pint. Smells mostly of caramel and bread. Spicy hop in the finish. It is balanced well. Decent and drinkable. Good but you don’t have to seek it out.
