Single from my local IGA. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a bubbly white head, average retention, but some good lacing. Good corriander with citrus notes (lemon over orange) and Belgian Ale yeast. The taste is quite watery, very, very mild. Only on the last pour can I taste a bit of the yeast and maybe a little wheat. Expected a lot from this one, but quite disappointed. Hope the other witbier is better.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color ale with a rather large pure white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light wheat malt with some subtle lemon notes. Taste is also dominated by medium wheat malt with light lemony notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Thyme notes are not easily discernible and doesn’t play a major role. Overall, light witbier that pale in comparison to other beers from the style.

50 cl bottle @ RIP camp. Batch #426, BBE 23.04.2013
Aroma is nice with coffee notes, some licorice and cocoa. Flavour has espresso, ashy notes and some salty licorice. Finishes with herbal notes. Quite strong hop profile for a stout. Nice.

Bouteille 50cl, bottled on 08 avril 2013, lot# 418.

Tap: Poured a dark amber color ale with a large foamy head. Aroma consists of citrus hops with resinous notes. Taste is a mix between some citrus hops with resinous/herbal notes from the Myrique Baumier as well as some residual sugar and light caramel taste. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. The spices are not as upfront as I would have imagined with the hops profile being quite dominant.
