Tap at Grand Cru Taproom, Santarcangelo, Italy. Pours opaque brown, unattractive, with some yeast in suspension and very fine white foam. Aroma is intense malty, caramel, molasses, even a little nutty. Body is average, but sticky, with moderate carbonation. Some chewy feeling. Taste is medium-high sweet, but moderated by nice elegant sour due to oxidation. Final is fairly long and malty.

Bottle at Amole. Aroma is floral fruity, lots of citrus fruit, Sichuan pepper, wheat, bergamot, lemon. Medium body. Flavour is nice, lacks a bit of body imo. Refreshing and zesty.

Bottle. Pours a very dark red, small head. Aroma is full on amarena cherry, dark malts, light acidity. Medium body. Flavour is malty, light sweetness, light acidity, intense cherry. I'd maybe like a bit more sweetness, but the amarena character is spot on and lingers for a very long time. Excellent stuff.

375 ml bottle at Acquolina in Aspen, Colorado. The pour is a slightly hazed orange, golden pinkish with a smaller off white head. The aroma is grass, clean grape, soft pink peppercorn and a rich malt. The taste is an interesting balance between the fruit sweet hops, the spice pink peppercorn and balanced against malt richness. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and the lingering earth peppercorn finish. Interesting beer for sure.

16 September 2020. At Draft & Dreams, Bologna. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy-murky orange with a stable, foamy, off-white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of pink & white pepper, pink grapefruit peel, dusty brioche, old biscuit, peanut, mango, old herbs, tobacco leaves. Taste has sweetish mango & orange, bitter core of pepper, herbs & grapefruit peel, yeasty, old bready feel. Dry, yeasty, peppery hoppy finish, old dusty fruit & some warming gin alcohol lingering. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. In itself a nice spicy DIPA but it feels to old & dusty.
