Draught Huge, very dense & fine, off-white head. Hazy dark-orange beer, leaving rings of lace. Pears, pineapple, very fruity nose, with hops as background. Quite bitter, again pineapple and some toasted malts, but not merged in the bitterness. Retronasal a nice flavour of brambles. Light but very slick. Pleasing, light beer - but a Saison? The same beer, also on draught at the brewpub itself had lots of diacetyl, probably due to the lines.

Clean amber-orange; small white head, fast gone. Fruity nose, whiff of sherry. Dry, not-quite moulded grain in the background. Light, but present short sharp fruit flavour, definitely not recognisable; a bit like citric-like berries or red/whitecurrant. Sharpish, but agreable titillating acidic. Quite surprising beer; fruity but unrecognisable (then, I might have Morus Nigra in my garden, Morus Alba I’ve even never seen in life!). Light, but pleasing.

Bottle, 6.5% in Rome. Wheaty, clovey aroma, a little perfumy. The flavour is a mix between a Belgian blond and a wit. A very spicy blond, that is. Good clove flavour, rounded off by uncompromising, nicely rough bitterness. The cloves leave a little soap flavour, which I can live with, though.

Draught at Salone Della Birra Artigianale e di Qualità 2007, Milan
Written H10OP5 because 10 hops are used in all 5 brewing steps

Hazy golden color; creamy head; nice lace. Hoppy aroma, perfumy, Saaz (?), white sugar. Medium-light body, good malt flavor; strong hopping and well aromatic; mittel-european character; the malt is partially missing in the final. Very good. Imperial Pilsner.

With Golding and Fuggles hops

Cloudy amber color. Both aroma and flavor are quite spicy. Traces of yeast. Strong bitterness; residual sugars. Some hops (the aroma and the final) of good quality. Good but chaotic.

Hazy dark amber color. Nice caramel aroma, cocoa, milky. Medium malty body, a lot of caramel, on the sweet side in the beginning, but rising bitterness from the roasted malt. Not really a Dunkel, but very good. Light hop note hidden, in the end.

Cloudy golden color. Nice aroma, harmonious, delicate, malty, a bit fruity. Very good structure, good malt flavor, caramel, residual sweetness; bold hopping. Very good.

Cloudy golden color. The aroma shows orange fruitness, perfumy, with some juniper. The flavor is more mellow than an ordinary Saison; good malt, some spices. Well mixed, strong character, very good. Good hop line in the end.

Red, cherry-like colour, with small whitish head. Fruity, very fruity (cherries?) and a nose which has multiple acids (lactic,...) in it. Sweet alcoholic, malty, but again lots of lactic acid; sugarlike sweetness, without it being sugared. I keep getting cherries. Very full bodied, slick, alcohol and higher alcohols. Very rare beer, sampled very young, but very lovable already!

Reddish orange, with a good, fluffy head. Fruity, some fruity esters, hints of hops. Bitterish, fruity, but not much. Bitter aromas in the front: not hopbitterness. The miele di Corbezzolo is a bitter honey. Warming up, cranberry flavour. Medium bodied, bit slick, ending dryer. A very interesting beer, yielding unexperienced basic taste permutations.

Served from a keg with a handpump... Near black but with red highlights; very un-casklike straight head. Drop , concentrated liquorice, treatens to be sweet. Tobacco-flavoured, ashes. Without the sparkler bit more fruity, blackberry flavours. Coffee-like. Very heavy body, but I think it is misleading. Slick & just sourish retronasal. Drink it WITHOUT the sparkler!
