Cask at the Tanners Arms, Darlington. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of biscuit and light spice, not getting any juniper. Taste is biscuit and faint floral hop. Thin finish.

Cask at PoW Beer Festival. Aroma is grainy. With a hint of liquorice. Malts. Opaque. Dark with a red tint. Frothy beige head retreats to the rim. Liquorice and malts in terms of flava. Medium bodied. Slick. Oily. Average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. As far as trad CAMRA endorsed beers go then this would be a beast of a beer. Not bad at all.

Cask at PoW Beer Festival. Malty aroma. Clear brown. Frothy off-white head. Malty sweetness. Quite cloying. Sour edge. Light bodied. Thin but slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. It's OK just doesn't fill me with joy.
