Cask gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Last beer of the festival for me, so thanks Chris for getting it before I went. Chestnut colour with bubbly beige head. Eggy yeasty aroma with good deep malts in the mouth. Some choc, nice finish: Very malty beer:

Cask at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Golden beer with a slightly creamy aroma, good creamy head and both malt and hops. Excellent balance. Did not get all the flavours that Silk did, but a better pint than the one chris_o had. Bit better than the normal golden ales

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF, 2004] A hazy amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of diacethyl. The flavor is weird, maybe because of the diacethyl.

Sampled cask conditioned. Amber coloured. Surprisingly neutral aroma. Dry and light bodied with a sharp late bitterness and a slightly salty finish. A decent bitter somewhat lacking in the flavour department.

Golden coloured. Nice hoppy aroma, very malty. Soft mouthfeel and balanced, bitterish finish. Possibly the best British bottled golden ale I've sampled.

Sampled cask conditioned. Nut brown. Fruity nose, medium body. Dry balanced finish with nice hop bitterness. This ale, in the borderlines between a strong bitter and a brown ale is malty, but perhaps overly complex.
