Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 11/6/2016. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Hedgerow fruits, some ripe, digestive malts, leafy hops and a lingering, bitter, finish. A good beer - RIP Derek!

tried at the Raven, Bath. Deep amber brown colour with a tan head. roasted malt and dark fruit aroma almost plums and figs. Taste mid bitter with a roasted bitter finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2015, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Great Western The Bees Knees ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity malt, pale malt, light honey. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, honey sweet, sweet malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150811]

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 10/10/2016. Amber, with a decent, off-white, head. A malty beer, with a touch of citrus fruit sweetness, leafy hops and a decent, bitter, finish. Fine.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Dry pale malts. Tangy dried fruits, some citric peel. Trace of lemon. Light dry finish brings mild spice.

From cask. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild toasted, light fruity. Bitter, light toasted. Dry, bitter and slight grassy. Bitter and dry finish.

tried at the black bear, tewkesbury. amber colour with a foamy white head. A very light fruit aroma and taste. mainly soapy with a slight bitterness.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2015. Gold lasting off white head. Likeable good if not great condition. Some honey but not too sweet. Good hop. Great condition. Very drinkable. I liked it. Decent honey.

Cask @ Brewfactory Bar, Bradford. Golden with a thin head. Balanced golden ale with a decent hop-malt character and a slightly sweet tropical fruit taste.
