Bottle in a gift pack from Tesco Metro, Manchesster. Amber with a small haze and a small head. Bitter in style with plenty of hop-malt depth to it.

500ml bottle from Morrisons, Newark. Present from Matty & Daniel. Pale yellow colour, no head and sharp solvent, apple in the aroma. Taste is tart, melon fruity, some apple and white wine note, with vinegary-like funk. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tart funky finish. OK.

Bag in a box at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear gold colour no head. Toffee apple aroma. Sweet artificial toffee flavour in the mouth. Slight sour apple juice on finish. Too much artificial toffee flavour.

21/10/2018. Cask at the Red Lion, Skegness. Pours clear golden with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of apple and toffee. Medium to heavy sweetness, light tartness. Light body, oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. Initially has a really anemic and watery mouthfeel but gets much better on the way down! Sweet, slightly tart and acidic finish. Not bad.

Baginabox at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Hazy pale amber, no fizz. They've judged the flavour just right on this; there's some juicy bramley apple, chewy toffee, and (surprisingly) some smoky bonfire notes. It's bonfire night in a glass. The cider apples show through offering sufficient sharpness to offset the sweet toffee. It should by all rights be a horribly sweet novelty alcopop that makes you gag after the first sip. Somehow it isn't; it's really good (admittedly it helps that it has some of my fave flavours in it), and the background cider balances the added flavours well. Yeah! Autumn rocks (apart from the dark, wet and Halloween bits)!

Box @ Hop + Vine, Hull. Light golden with a tanginess and certainly hides its own low abv for a perry. Its nose smells artificial.

330ml bottle as gift. Amber/brown and clear with a big creamy off-white head. Woody/malty aroma with vinegary overtones. Not great. Tastes pretty good though, with light gritty malt combining with oaky flavours and an indefinable funk in the finish. Tastes a bit homebrewy but it's not all that bad.
