16 oz can traded by ClarkVV. Thank you! The aroma is Herb, mild pine and marijuana. Well, make no mistake about it, it lives up to its name. Pine, herb and traces of old bong water. I hope the government doesn’t give me a piss test anytime soon. I don’t want to fail the urine test.

Canned 8/28/24, drunk 9/5/24. Heavily hazy, darker bronze-melon-peach. Medium-sized, off-white head, low-to-moderate retention. Juicy Citra leading with tons of orange and tangerine, followed by spicier, lightly woody notes from whatever else is in here. Clean, nicely attenuated, it seems, with excellent, fresh yeast character that is rustic and charming, and very fruity. Cracker and biscuit malts gently balance. Soft, juicy, with a solid, biscuity backbone with light malt sweetness and good depth and great attenuation. Juicy Citra provides various citrus and there's floral and other various spicy notes with appropriate bitterness keeping it balanced and refreshing. Man, Alchemist has been on a roll lately!

Can at a homebrew meetup. Yellow hazy with a big nose of piney, tropical goodness. Smooth and rounded, huge complexity, not too sweet despite the high percentage. Excellent!

Canned 8/14, drunk 8/30/24, at the brewery. Moderately-to-heavily hazy, blonde-golden. Big, well-retained, white head. Malty, grainy, dare I say a touch worty? Floral and lightly piney hops behind it. Clean and snappy. Lighter, but bright and hoppy. Soft, malty, lots of biscuit and barley, could say a bit of wort but I can't imagine it actually is. Just sweet grains, I guess. Mix of fruity and piney hops. Shorter finish with a light body, but not thin. Like the bitterness level for its size (high), and yet it's not resinous.

Can at the brewery, 8/30/24. Thick, turbid, deep bronze. Small, creamy, off-white head, good retention. Holy shit. Well that's insane. Heady and focal washed up? Can the Alchemist even brew a NEIPA anymore??! Well, the answer is a resounding yes. Just all the Nelson spice you could want with that mineral and chalk and light match stick. This is one of the purest expressions of Nelson I've had. Malts show light honey and biscuit yo gently balance. No resin or booze. White wine, tropical fruit, fully enveloping, rich, strong aroma....and all this with the can being very cold and the beer just being poured... Juicy, spicy, round and fruity. Not quite as insane as the nose, but that was going to be borderline impossible. Still tons of spice, white wine, mineral. Rich malts, great depth, great attenuation. Just not quite as stunningly perfect as the nose, but still incredible. Even has plentiful bitterness to keep it balanced and refreshing. Spice, chalk, sulphur lingering....wow. going to have dreams about that aroma...
