It’s too easy to let life become predictable and settle for the ordinary. Luckily though, Orchard Pig is no ordinary cider. It all began in a Somerset shed, surrounded by the best West Country apple trees and free roaming Old Spot pigs. But, whilst every orchard has apples, not every orchard has Old Spot pigs. We believe our free-spirited attitude is the magic ingredient which makes every pint of Orchard Pig taste so refreshingly different to all the rest. Not your average apples, not your average pig. Orchard Pig. It’s a rare breed.

BIAB at Half Moon, Darlington. Hazy orange-yellow gold colour, no head and light juicy apple aroma. Taste is sweet, orangey, marmalade notes, syrupy and juicy apple. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet mellow citrusy finish. OK

From keg at Euston Tap (West), London, 09.01.19. Clear golden. Small white head. Aroma and taste of wild apples, apple zest and, leather and a hint of sulphur. Lively moutheel. Good!

Bottle from Asda. Pale gold in colour with moderate carbonation. An easy drinking cider with plenty of juice and a medium finish. fine.

(On tap)Clear golden, tiny white head. Nice apple aroma. Light body, good carbonation. Nice apple taste, good balance of tart and sweet. Nice cider.

Vi brygger årets juleøl ("Julebrun på Holmen"), og da er ratingarbeid en essensiell del av bryggeprosessen. 0,5 flaske fra polets nettbutikk: Klar gylden med kort skum. Inviterende aroma og smak med dybde og kompleksitet. Myke tanniner, like myke og smakfulle epler og snev av kanel.

Bottle shared with JMD and KA at HNB 22.09.18. Shiningly clear golden. No head. Excellent and complex aroma and taste of orchard apples, apple zest, leather and sulphur. Good and quaffable!
