The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, crisp, passionfruit, grapefruit citrus, light pepper spice, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can from the Ayr Brewery online shop. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of hazelnut and maple syrup, chocolate. Taste is rich, sweet, nutty, chocolate, maple. Sweet finish. Bit sickly sweet.

Can from the Ayr Brewery online shop. Pours hazy golden amber with a thick white head. Aromas of orange, brown bread, marmalade. Taste is caramel and more marmalade. Light sweet finish.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a deep ruby red with a small cream head. Malts and honey feature in the aroma. In the mouth the texture is slightly watery, but there is plenty of flavour. Rye and other grains are noticeable immediately, with an underlying malt base. Later on spices and autumn fruits rise to the top, and the fruits are there in the finish, which is otherwise slightly sweet. This is quite a nice drink.

The aroma was promising, but the beer as a whole was really poor. Nice can though.
