Cask at the Smithfield, Derby, 11/02/22. Clear golden with a white head. Nose is mellow citric zest, grass, melon, straw, light breads. Taste comprises toasted grains, soft malts, tangerine, lemon rind. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok golde.

Cask at the Whalebone, Hull. Pours clear yellow gold with a thick white head. Aromas of light floral hop and bread. Taste is dried herbs, floral hop, bread again. Light bitter finish.

Cask at Derby. A clear pale gold yellow coloured pour with a sticky laced white head. Aroma is earrhy grains, grassy hop. Flavour is composed grass, lemon, bresdy grains, not bad. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, soft carbonation. Ok.

440ml can. Poured a hazy dark brown colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light coffee. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with an earthy, watery, dry, liqourice hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Promised so much but was a big disappointment.

440ml can from the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, fizzy tan bead. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate and caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, light sweet chocolate, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate and a lingering alcohol bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Not as sweet as I expected. The chocolate was well hidden.

440ml can from the brewery. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is grainy malt, lemon lime citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a fresh, crisp, malt, juicy lemon citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with over moderate carbonation.

Can from the Ayr Brewery online shop. Gusher. Pours opaque dark brown with a huge beige head. Aromas of coconut and chocolate. Taste is liquorice, faint chocolate. Thin finish.
