Description
Welbeck is one of the great traditional landed estates bordering Sherwood Forest. It is home to an artisan village, producing specialist foods and crafts in a beautiful rural setting.

General Manager and brewer, Claire Monk, established our microbrewery in 2011. It’s housed in a beautiful listed barn at the heart of this community, and has steadily grown in size to meet the demand for good local beer. We also have some fabulous neighbours in adjacent barns, including a coffee roaster, chocolatier and bakery. All our products can be found at the Welbeck Farm shop in the Welbeck Courtyard.

The two guiding principles which underpin our brewery are to produce the best quality beer in the market, and provide our customers with exemplary service every time. Our head brewer, James, brews 15,000 pints a week which we supply into pubs, restaurants and specialist bottle beer shops within a 35 mile radius.

Eartha Kitt provided the original vocals to 'Santa Baby'. Slightly paler golden coloured. Weaker textured than its strength would suggest, not bad though, and with a good smoothness. Mildly spiced hoppy beer, but the latter remains dominant.

Hand pulled pint in the Ritz (a Spoons in Lincoln), lunchtime on 29th November 2025. Golden orange body, clean and clear, white crown on top. Citrus and white wine aroma/taste. Decent enough without getting my senses too excited.

Cask at The George JDW, Croydon 24/11/2025 (UT lists Holbeck Brewhouse as a subsidiary of Welbeck Abbey, has the same 2011 established date on beer clip as well so hopefully ok here) Zesty citrusy aroma and taste, some grapefruit and lemon, faint notes of melon and pineapple, grass, florals, soft cask carb, bitter hoppy finish.

I'm in a favourite haunt on Halloween of Brewver's very own Deanso... and he hasn't had this beer yet so maybe he'll pop in at some point for it. If he does he'll find a sweetish, but quite hoppy cask lager here, very cask in design with some enjoyable sugars.

Clear golden with a head. The Atlas mountains provided the scariest bus journey of my life so far. Nothing scary about this Atlas hoppy-bitter, which is quite easy-drinking as long as you don't mind a mid-bitterness to your ale.

Gift from friends who live near the brewery. Opaque chestnut. No head. Aroma has caramel and nuts with a tang berry edge and some wooden wisps. Flavourwise it has initial berry sourness. A woody streak. Underlying burnt caramel. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat-soft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable Bitter.

Spotty beige head & collar on a hazy pale golden coloured body.
Zesty, lime & stone fruit aroma.
Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a cloying back.
Lime, medicinal, chalky & yeast tastes with a tangy peppery finish.
Nice enough for the ABV.
