General Manager and brewer, Claire Monk, established our microbrewery in 2011. It’s housed in a beautiful listed barn at the heart of this community, and has steadily grown in size to meet the demand for good local beer. We also have some fabulous neighbours in adjacent barns, including a coffee roaster, chocolatier and bakery. All our products can be found at the Welbeck Farm shop in the Welbeck Courtyard.
The two guiding principles which underpin our brewery are to produce the best quality beer in the market, and provide our customers with exemplary service every time. Our head brewer, James, brews 15,000 pints a week which we supply into pubs, restaurants and specialist bottle beer shops within a 35 mile radius.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. My first beer from this brewery. Misted gold with small white head and minor lacing. This had a gooseberry, lemon, light grassiness and a cracker malt with an edge of earthiness. Medium bodied and a touch sticky. Not sure if I've ever had a cask lager before. It had more flavour than an average lager but I won't be rushing for another. The balance didn't feel quite right on this one and there is a lack of crispness.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a deep ruby with minimal scummy off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and nuts in the aroma. In the mouth there is a little sweetness and a creamy texture, but the main sensation is of malts. There’s also chocolate, dark fruit and raisins with some hints of cola coming through later. Finish is fruity and slightly dry. This is a decent ESB style beer – maybe lacking a bit in body.
