330ml bottle. Hazy dark brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, pale beige head. Nuttily malty aroma, notes of nougat, hazelnut, almond, hints of toast. Taste is minimally sweet malty with a nuttily touch, some nougat, also a dry touch of green, unripe nuts from "backgroundish" hop; lively carbonation contributes to an "aerial" body, slightly sticky palate. Very nice and really nutty.

Tap at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, 13/04/13. Mid black with a very thin tan head. Nose is rich coffee beans, dark chocolate, roast malt, molasses. Taste comprises coffee cake, brown sugars, chocolate, roast malt. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, sweetish finish. Decent enough stuff, I’m a lover of coffee beers, let down a little by being too sweet.
