Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours chestnut with minimal scummy off-white head and good lacing. There’s sweet malts in the aroma plus butter and nuts. In the mouth it is basically sweet but with a hint of underlying bitterness, and is somewhat thin. Flavour has malts, bitter hops and biscuits. Berry fruits come through later as do traces of nuts and oranges leading to a slightly dry finish. This is quite decent.

10/4/2026. Cask at the Isle of Man CAMRA 13th Beer & Cider Festival. Good pour. Chocolate, cherry, BFG. Moderately roasted. Mellow gateau sweetness. Very slightly cloying finish but enjoyed this.

Half pint from the cask at the Penny Farthing, Crayford. The alcohol percentage has been reduced to 3.4. It pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aromas & tastes of flora, citrus, light grapefruit & hops. Moderate body. Light bitter finish.

Cask at Bibendum, Eastbourne. Pleasant aroma. Thick deep caramel gold with thick foam. Gorgeous flavour, especially to start with but it was quite sweet so over time you felt you'd had enough.

Can from Middle Farm, Alfriston. Light floral hop nose. Weak look. Very fresh ale with potential on cask I bet. Elderflower.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 23 Nov 2025) Golden colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin, grass and pineapple. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, grass, pineapple, resin, hints of soap and a balanced citric/grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshing, with a generous hop presence. Nice one.

Has a nice fruity character about it, some jammy berries, soft earthy bitterness, lightly toasted malts. A little one-dimensional but rather moreish.
