Hand pulled half pint in Pivni, York on 19th May 2026. Decent enough Pale Ale and good to see so far North.

Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours chestnut with minimal scummy off-white head and good lacing. There’s sweet malts in the aroma plus butter and nuts. In the mouth it is basically sweet but with a hint of underlying bitterness, and is somewhat thin. Flavour has malts, bitter hops and biscuits. Berry fruits come through later as do traces of nuts and oranges leading to a slightly dry finish. This is quite decent.

Cask at Bibendum, Eastbourne. Pleasant aroma. Thick deep caramel gold with thick foam. Gorgeous flavour, especially to start with but it was quite sweet so over time you felt you'd had enough.

Can from Middle Farm, Alfriston. Light floral hop nose. Weak look. Very fresh ale with potential on cask I bet. Elderflower.

Has a nice fruity character about it, some jammy berries, soft earthy bitterness, lightly toasted malts. A little one-dimensional but rather moreish.
