Cask at Sun Inn, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s a basic aroma of floral hops and citrus. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with a little underlying bitterness and a creamy texture. Flavour has floral hops, citrus and lemon with traces of grapefruit and mango coming later. Finish is quite dry. This is reasonable.

Cask at Sun, Stafford. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small foamy off-white head. There’s malts, banana and caramel in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet with oranges and banana to the fore. Some floral hops as well plus hints og bubble gum, spice and ginger. Finish is slightly dry. This is decent.

Brought back by my Dad from Buxton. Clear amber tinged brown. Foamy off-white head is initially quite Foamy before almost entirely disappearing. Aroma combines sweet caramel with a berry streak. Flavourwise it woody bitterness with a berry edge, over chewy caramel and grains. Light-medium bodied. Slick..Soft-fizzy carbonation is restrained. Long slightly astringent finish..Decent Best.

Bottle. Gift off mater and pater. Chatsworth Farm Shop. Clear coppery amber. Thin off white foam stays the course. Proper malty in a toffee biscuit kind of way. Plenty of steeped hop leaf. Tasty affair overall with good balance. Cheers dad.

Handpull cask at the Joiners Arms, Bakewell. Mid-gold, clear with a thin white head and lots of lacing. Light grainy aroma. Sweet taste, a little bit of 'hot golde' buttery character, but also with notes of overripe peach. Decent bitterness rounds off the finish. Medium body and soft to no carbonation. I don't generally care for these sorts of beers but this is not a bad one our of the lot.

Handpull cask at the Peacock, Bakewell. Very light brown, clear with some loose slightly off-white head. Woody aroma, some caramel, maybe touches of berry and paraffin. Sweet taste but the sweetness doesn't run away with it. A little bitterness at the finish. Scoring may be a little kind but I didn't mind this beer.
