Pours a dark amber colour with a reddish tint and an average sized lasting creamy head. A subtle aroma, toffee apple, sweet malts and red berries. A moderately sweet taste, sweet biscuity malts, toffee and red fruit flavours with a smooth sweetish malty finish. Not much bitterness.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A bright amber pour with a thin white head; grainy aroma; grainy body with caramel and a strong vegetal bitterness; then a finish that seems to blend barley sugar with boiled cabbage, leaving a spicy aftertaste. Strange.

Pint at the local pub. Clear amber pour. Aromas and tase of citrus fruit, some hints of other fruits in taste as well. Nutty, slightly bitter aftertaste, but enjoyable.

Very slightly hazy gold with a bubbly white head and very little aroma, just a hint of malt and citrus. Fizzy, bitter, malty and fruity but all a bitof a mess really, and served far too cold
