Description
Portobello was founded by Rob Jenkins & Farooq Khalid in September 2012. Rob is a beer industry veteran who’s worked across the industry in a career spanning 30+ years. Farooq is a brewing and engineering whizz who is just as comfortable designing & building new bits of brew kit as he is devising delicious recipes.

Fra fat på Mossy Well Muswell Hill nov-18: lett uklar gylden med fint skum som varer. Deilig fruktighet både i aroma og smak - mild citrus, mango, citronskald, citrongræs og litt furunål. Spenstig, frisk bitterhed i afslutningen. Mersmak.

Cask @ Salisbury's, London. Black with no head. Aroma of roasted malts and liquorice. Taste follows aroma plus a tiny note of cocoa. Not much in the way of hops. Low carbonation. Thin and watery. Still nice though.

Cask at Wetherspoons in Ickenham. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, malty, fruity, spice aroma and taste with a slightly bitter finale.

Pours a light hazy copper gold colour with a small off white head that settled to a thin film. Aroma is malt, caramel, doughy bread and a little citrus. A sweetish malty taste, caramel and grapefruit hop bitterness.

Can from Tesco, Amble. Pours clear pale yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of corn and grassy hops. Taste is more of the same, plus astringent malt. Finish is quite astringent as well.

Cask at Ealing Beer Festival 2018, Ealing, London. A straw coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel on the nose. Tastes similar, hoppy, malty, caramel, quite bitter.

Cask at Ealing Beer Festival 2018, Ealing, London. A hazy light golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, grapefruit, gooseberry on the nose. Tastes similar, hoppy, grapefruit, gooseberry.

Pint on tap at Fountain's Abbey, Paddington. Cloudy amber beer with thin film of suds on top. Some grass and citric notes in the aroma. Refreshing and fruity with an interesting dry finish. Light but tasty ale.

Cask at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Malty sweetness, nuts, some distant hints of fruits and malts. Quite malty.
