330ml bottle into pint glass. From Oldfield Cellars, Gosford. Nose is pineapple with a touch of pine. Pours a cloudy amber with a solid white head. Effervescent with many tiny bubbles. Full-bodied, oily texture. Bitter taste then a nutty, piney finish.Malt background. Solid IPA (and a treat after having nothing to drink but Carlsberg or Crown Lager all weekend!).

330 ml bottle into glass. Mad nose, like sour stagnant water and popcorn! Hazy amber beer with thin white head and medium carbonation. Sour, tangy, fruity taste. Finish is long, sour and zingy. Refreshing, quite intense. Lovely yeasty notes right at the end. Not bad.

Pint on tap at Brewhouse, Bankstown. Creamy malty nose, like a caramel milkshake. Golden bronze beer with thin white head. Lightly carbonated. Full-bodied and zingy, finish is lightly smoked malt. Easy-drinking, delicious, gone!

Another good aussie APA. Getting the piney, grapefruit taste that I enjoy.

From a 330ml bottle on 31/12/2016. Pours a clear light golden with barely any head. The aroma features some light fruity notes. In the mouth, there’s some muted sweet fruit, bread and grain. Light bodied and a touch watery, with lively carbonation. A meh beer.

Bottle. Almost black with a fading tan head. Aroma of chiles, bread, milky mocha. Smoke is not obvious. On the light side of medium bodied, smooth texture. Sweet mocha, very mild roasted flavours. A bit vague with the malt side of things. Chile seems to barely register at all at first but creeps up: it’s fruity and slightly peppery rather than hot. Sits OK with modest bitterness at the end. Again, not much smoke at all. Adequate.

Bottle. Almost black with a tan head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of chocolate, roasted barley, brown sugar. Fairly light bodied. Dry and quite roasty with light caramel and coffee as well as chocolate. Maybe some hints of dark fruits too. The focus is not on the bitterness at the end, but there’s enough to provide a finish and keep you interested. Pretty good and exactly what it purports to be.
