In 2020 the Brewery was shut down and beers contract brewed at 3 Brewers.

Cask@Beer Hunters, Pori. Hazy pale copper brown, good creamy head. Flowery hoppy nose with notes of honey. Quite hoppy bitter (pinewood), grassy notes, good bitterness, but lacks on the malt side.

Cask handpull at Wetherspoons, Folkestone. Clear red colour, but artificially red. No head to speak of. Yeasty hop bitter nose with acids in mouth and on end with some citric fruit and zesty hop. Don’t like the colour, but the rest of the bitter is pretty standard of this type.

Gravity cask at Maidstone BF with SilkTork. Dark gold, really raspberry on nose. Fruit is a bit artificial. The vanilla and raspberry in the mouth are not backed up by any malt vehcile to be carried on.

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Black in colour. Tarry malt with some dryness on end, could do with a bit of fruit or something to liven it up

A red-brown beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sour roasted malty - like many milds. The flavor is also sour with notes of roasted malt and caramel.

[Bottle conditioned] A black beer with a chocolate brown head. The aroma is sour - weird for a stout, more like a Flemmish sour ale. The flavor is also sour like Flemmish sour ale but with notes of chocolate and caramel.

Rerate, cask at the Number Twenty-2, Darlington. Black colour, creamy tan head. Moderate but nice roasty aroma, hints of coffee and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel. Roasty flavour, notes of coffee, distinctly bitter finish. I’m upping it a bit. Original rating: Cask at the Ipswich Beer Festival 2004, gravity dispense. Black (and I mean BLACK) colour, even when held to the light. Aroma has some dark chocolate, coffee and wood. Roast malt flavour. Hints of tar in the finish. Dry, woody aftertaste. This is not a stout of the "smooth and velvety" kind, but an interesting aquaintance indeed!
