Description
We forged Firebrand in 2012 in a converted milking parlour on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall. The idea was born from our passion for beer made from all-natural ingredients, Cornish spring water, and American hops.
We brew beer that we love to drink and pride ourselves on our craft. Whether it’s a Hazy Vegan IPA or a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, we regularly refine and tweak our recipes to brew the best beer we can.
Originally launched because the co-owner and head brewer of Penpont Brewery Joe Thompson wanted to brew a more modern style so Firebrand Brewing Co. was created.

Half-pint, keg at the Four Horsemen Pub. Clear golden body, lacing rings, filmy layer. Rather discreet fruity taste of ripe citrus. Hints of citrus and peaches to the taste profile. Refreshing, but quite thin on the swallow. Accepted. (Bournemouth 22.10.2019).

Cask at the Grove, Huddersfield, 04/10/19. Lightly hazed golden orange with a big old head of off white bubbles. Nose is orange peel, light soap, toasted malts, grass, light floral tones. Taste comprises more soap, tangerine, grass, pale malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... too much soap here.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep cloudy orange. Nicely proportioned head. Nose - marmalade with a light herbaceous edge. Taste - more orange and generally marmalade notes. Earthy green notes too meaning it almost cleans on the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a finish that is tangy but could be fresher. Overall - ok but could be fresher on the finish.

4th beer in a mini-tasting session with myself on 10th May 2019. 330ml can: BBE Nov 2019, poured into a 'Forbidden Fruit' chalice. Slight haze to the golden body, full white crown on top. The Citra and Mosaic hops do their citrusy thing in the aroma and taste, had to look up 'Equanot', it would appear they are bed mates of the two aforementioned citrus leaning hop varieties, so they must have added to the heavy citrus aroma and taste of this brew. Considering I am not a huge fan of golden/blonde citrus flavoured beers this did OK in my eyes, good crisp bodyfeel helped.
