Cask at the Moon in the Square, Bournemouth. Poured medium amber with a lively frothy head and lacing that looked like it would live forever. Very little in the aroma, but a nice warm bitterness in the flavour which stayed around on the palate. Won’t win too many awards, but a very nice session ale indeed.

Cask at LHR T5 - Crown Rivers JDW - 29/02/12. Mid chestnut brown with a medium white head. Toffee aroma with a little dark fruit and spice. Malty bready taste with dark dried fruit taste, figs/prunes. Medium to thinnish body with a slightly sour to bittersweet finish.

Cask handpull at Penderals Oak Spoons. Deepish brown with lasting beige head. Malty beer which is ok. Brown malty bitter. Fine. Some earthyness. Some woody malt

Brown...clear...thin white head...reasonable lacing
Aroma - caramel malts...bit of light roast malt..hint of chocolate
Taste - caramel malts..some toasty malts..some fruity malts...yeast
Palate - soft carb...medium body...smooth. Finish as main flavour...increased roast comes through then replaced with a metallic rust bitterness in the linger
Overall - Started off as an above average premium bitter but that metallic bitterness in the tail spoilt it

Cask at the Plough and Harrow, JDW, London. Pours clear copper with a sturdy, white foam head. Aroma holds a nice bit of toasty caramel. The flavor is lightly sweet with more caramel, toasty malts, light leafy bitters, and the suggestion of dried fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Quite dry to finish, with notes of toast and leaves and impressions of cocoa. Not bad, really.

Cask, handpump at JDW Heathrow T5, 29.02.12 Pours clear brown with a white head, tangy with some toffee. Not great, sweet and a little fruity, but a little rough around the edges for me. A6 A3 T5 P2 Ov11 2.7

Cask @ Alloa Real Ale Festival 2011. Slightly hazy dark golden colour, off-white bubbles. Nose is light caramel malts, fruity, bit of vegetables. Flavour is light caramel malts, citric hops. Slightly bitter finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial rooms (JDW) Bristol 2/10/2011. Deep amber with a decent off-white head. Sweet, caramel and red fruit aroma. Flavour had more fruity sweetness before a moderately bitter finish. Good.

Cask, handpump at The Postal Order, JDW, Worcester, 17.09.11 Pours amber with a creamy white head and slightly hazy. Touch clinical even slight chemical in mouth though not too much. Lightly fruity and with some maltiness, its just about ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

Cask@The Elm Tree, Cambridge. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is slightly sour wood, some syrup, mild maltyness as well as some mild seaweed. Flavour is fruits, wood, some grass and mild earthyness.
