Beautiful golden amber colour. Huge, impressive head. Citrus-fruity yeasty aroma. Very easy drinking with grapefruit-bitter finish. I love Belgium!

Bottled. Stunningly beautiful: Cloudy orange-amber with rich, firm head. Marcipan, toffee and grassy hops in the aroma. Sweet and full bodied. Yeasty and funky. Honey and almond in the finish.

Deep red, slightly unclear with a good head. The aroma is light with hints of yeast. The flavor is soft , fruity, a little flat and a little sour and yeasty.

Fruity, spicy and vineous aromas - Apple, cider and bubblegum evident. Hazy redbrown, creamy head. Fruity (apples and bubblegum again), some malt and cedarwood, a bit yeast in the aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel.

A deep red beer with a fantastic head. The aroma is sweet and fruity - a very complex aroma. The flavor is very fruity and very complex with a good sweetness and plum-notes. Only slightly bitter. A really good tasting beer. The beer also helps a great sauce.

The bottle is slowly gushing; the color is dark brown, with large head, more frothy than usual, and too many pieces of sediment in the glass. Mellow and complex aroma of malt and caramel, with delicate esters and alcohol. Good body strength, although the extra fermentation in the bottle may have eaten some sugar; good malt and caramel flavor, with a chocolate hint; moderate residual sweetness; the bitterness is quite low, but enough for this beer; mild alcohol perception in the end, and possibly a trace of oxidization.
Perfectly mature, very good.

Beautiful amber color; generous rocky head. Wonderful aroma, deep, of malt, wood, cellar, spices… vinous. Good body structure, malty, balanced by a pleasant sour note, and a late light sweetness. Very good final as well, balanced.

Red-amber color. Walnut, malt and caramel nose; slightly spicy. Balanced, powerful, well malty, a lot of caramel. Missing some originality, just an interesting light fruitiness.

This is the best belgian ale I've tried in a long time. A moderate head that becomes a light lacing sits atop a dark ruby beer that looks quite inviting. There is a cornucopia of fruit going on in the aroma, which makes the salivary glands work extra hard before you even sip. There is so much going on in the flavor: cherries, raisins, caramel, honey...everything the commericial description claims and more. And the finish, my oh my, chocolate covered cherries dance across the palate for a considerable amount of time. For comparison, this is much like Trois Pistoles, but with more body, and a substantial malt charactaristic that is quite pleasant. An outstanding beer!
