0.33 l bottle from 'Belgiuminabox.com', best before January 2019. Slow Gusher. Clear, very dark red with a medium large, dense and slightly creamy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, malty, rather fruity and moderately yeasty-spicy aroma of strawberry jam, figs, some molasses and a touch of oak. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, malty, quite fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of strawberry jam, figs, candied cherries, some molasses, dessert wine and some marzipan, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy, minimally tart and a bit boozy finish with hints of oxidation. Over medium-bodied, smooth, slightly creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, sparkling carbonation. Quite complex, superbly balanced, lots of fruitiness, appealing appearance and a pleasant mouthfeel. Pretty good but not outstanding.

Pours unclear, murkey, dark brown. muddy? or milkchocolaty ? pick what sounds best, i'd say, so lets call this milkchocolaty. Good and rather stable, creamy white head. Smell is sweet, caramelly, toffee. taste is sweet, but very complex. very earthy, caramelly, port-notes, but not due to age. Very silky and smooth. fall-leaves, a walk trough the forest pops in my mind. mild milkchocolaty notes as well. Very, very nice ! Decent mouthfeel and carbo, too. Awesome. Earlier Rating: 4/10/2014 Total Score: 3.7Bottle at kulminator . 75 cl , 2007 vintage Pours dark brown , almost no head Smells very liquorish , not really port though . Rather low carbo . Much carbo , wood , faded chocolate , intense and complex , bit portorized .

Poured from 750ml bottle a...dang! It started foaming over all over the place. I had to rush it to the kitchen and grab another couple of glasses so I wouldn't lose too much of it.
Well, after it finall settled down, it poured a cloudy rusty brown with, umm, a large head of foam that shrank slowly leaving a solid fine layer with lots of lacing.
The smell hit me before I ever got the cap fully off..it was a huge nose of sweet caramel malty goodness mixed in with good fruity tones like plum and apricot.
The taste is hugely sweet caramel but it's done right; the sweetness is not cloying and in fact, not negative in any way shape or form. My goodness, I'm now dreading the fact that I lost even 1 drop of this amazing brew.
After a few more sips, my palate begins to pick up on the fruity notes that I noted in the smell. Plum, a bit of apricot and some fig. I can't sense *any* bitterness what so ever and that's just fine by me. What a treat! And as far as it's abv by % goes..you've got to be kidding me!! 10%??? No sign of it in the taste at all and just a touch of warming as it goes down. Wow. Yum. This is world class stuff!!!
Bottom line: This is a brew that, if you see it in your neck of the woods, is *not* to be ignored! I recommend it on the highest level!
Just be *careful* when opening it!!!

Bottle @ Home. Pours slightly hazy amber with a fading offwhite head. Aroma of malt, bread, caramel, belgian yeast, little spice, and little sweet dried fruit. Flavor is sweet, malt, bready, caramel, little yeast, toffee, sweet dried fruit, little alcohol. Medium to full body, average to lively carbonation, sweet finish with warming alcohol. To sweet and a bit overcarbonated. 161017

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma fine color cappuccino media persistenza, color marrone intenso, al naso malto marsala frutta candita zucchero di canna, in bocca malto caramello toffee uvetta liquirizia lieve tostato, carbonatazione piatta, corpo strutturato, oleosa liquorosa, alcool perfettamente bilanciato, amaro percettibile che svanisce con l’elevata dolcezza finale. Sembra di bere un passito. Ottima birra 14.10.17

Bottle at De Heeren van Liedekercke, shared with Anke and Pieter.
Pours hazy yellow with a small, lasting, foamy, white head. The aroma contains wheat, barley, coriander, lemon peel, orange and hops. It tastes light to medium spicy bitter and light citric sour into the (rather short) spicy finish. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Better than your average Witbier, for sure, but not something I would keep in my cellar by the dozen.

Pours unclear yellow. Decent sized white head, creamy, with a rather good stability. Smell is very weak. Taste is bit bitter, mild floral/spiced, bit of sweetness ( very little ) . Perhaps some coriander ? Mild esthers, overall pretty balanced though. Not really intense in flavor, and , as mentioned before, no real scent. making this an easy drinkin' beer I couldn't really get excited about. MF is medium, so is carbo. Not to much of the wheat to be found, accept perhaps a bit amped up creamyness. Didn't find the typical orange peel in this one. Earlier Rating: 7/21/2014 Total Score: 3.5At Barely Legal Tasting Room , thnx to ógí and Julio . Pours unclear yellow, ok white head . Smell is spices , coriander, lemon zest . Good carbo . Taste is grainy , bit sweet . Dry, a bit . Some spices , fresh . Not to special but certainly OK
