Description
Pipeworks Brewery Co. was established in Chicago in 2012 by friends with a shared dream of crafting quality and creative beers. Since putting the first cap on the first bottle, the brewery has garnered accolades for its distinctive beers and original artwork thanks to a growing and enthusiastic team.

Pipeworks self-distributes in Illinois, Milwaukee, and Madison but can be found in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Connecticut through Sarene Distribution, in Minnesota through Clear River, in Massachusetts through Nightshift Distributing, in Missouri through Craft Republic Distributing, and in Colorado through Elite Brands. We are also available for online beer purchase in some states through Tavour.

The Dojo, our Bottle Shop, is located within our production facility at 3912 W Mclean Ave in Chicago.

Bottle. Pours black with a gray head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a nice creamy roasted malt note with some dry pine hops and a hint of coffee. Flavor has coffee up front with roasted malts and has a bit of dry grassy hops in the finish.

Bomber shared @ tkrjukoffs CCB Day tasting. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a small beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace. Smell is sweet with heavily roasted malts, sweet liquorice, sweetened coffee, milk chocolate, dark rye bread, wood, smoked chili, cinnamon and smoked ham. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and spicy with roasted malts, quality dark chocolate, smoked chili, sweetened dark roast coffee, grass, cinnamon, lemon zest, black pepper, wood and hints of cardamom and cocoa. Mouthfeel is smooth, round and medium bodied. Finish is sweet with roasted malts, dark chocolate, smoked chili, coffee, cinnamon, black pepper and vanilla. An amazing balanced stout!

Bomber shared @ tkrjukoffs CCB Day tasting. Pours hazy orangish golden with a frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and hoppy fresh with grapefruit juice, mango, lemon zest, gooseberries, lemon balm, orange zest, fresh grass, pineapple, passion fruit, sweet white bread, sugar, red currants and  hints of dill. Taste is sweet and very bitter with orange peal, grapefruit peal, grapefruit juice, sweet bread, bitter oranges, passion fruit, pineapple, lemon balm, dill, alcohol, grapes, plums, lemon zest, freshly cut grass, dry soil, straw and hints of sugar. Mouthfeel is smooth, oily bitter and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with passion fruit, grapefruit peal, orange peal, crackers, lemon zest, pineapple, lemon balm and bitter oranges. Wow! Extremely nice to get to taste this. Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Nose/taste of mocha, sarsaparilla, resin, grassy hops, vanilla, roasted chocolate and deep roasted coffee. Well-balanced. Finishes a bit dry roasted cocoa and resinous pine. Medium body.

Bottle at Paul’s CPK birthday party, London, thanks to Ken. Pours red-brown with a thick, tan foam head. Nose holds some light and smokey malts, some dry fruits and toasted wood. Light sweet flavor, moderately smokey with sweet berries and dark bread. Medium bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Faintly smokey to finish, medium sweet with some toasted bread. It’s a very mellow smoked beer overall.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty spicy milk chocolate aroma. Roasted malty spicy chocolate and vanilla flavor with hints of chili. Has a roasted malty spicy chili and chocolate finish.

Bottle at the CP&K, Scopey’s Birthday Bash. Opaque black beer, big pale tan head. Smooth palate, quite airy, soft and dry. Mild mild dark malts with an equally mild tang. Mellow smoke. Nice subtle dried fruits underneath. Finishes with a little woody dryness. Easy going smoked beer.
