Bottle: Poured a deep red/brown color ale with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and earthy hops is dominant with medium sweet caramelized malt notes. Taste is also dominated by earthy and citrus hops notes with some semi-sweet caramelized malt notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Nicely done with good hops punch and a solid malt bill.

Bottle thanks to Ken at THE sours & saisons tasting (part 1). It pours cloudy golden-amber, with a massive white head. The nose is rather spicy, lots of freshly cracked black pepper, underlying sweetness, earth and floral notes. The taste is rather dry, peppercorn, creamy, dough, sugary sweetness and weird tanginess, with a dry, peppery finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Can’t say I like pepper in my beer. I really didn’t enjoy this at all. Challenging to drink.....

Bottle (batch 10) thanks to Ken. It pours opaque very dark brown, with a medium beige head. The nose is pine, roasted malt, charcoal, citrus peel, juicy fruit and chocolate. The taste is roasted malt, ash, charcoal, coffee grinds, bitter pine, some underlying spice, salted caramel and faint citrus peel, with a pleasantly bitter finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome and very well balanced. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden hued body and a white head. Aromas are sweet, resiny, citrus, tamarind, medium caramel, mild esters and a bit minty. Flavors are grassy, citrus, resin and tamarind. Medium caramel and pine. Someone I shared this with mentioned urinal cake as a descriptor (I’m not sure if that is a fair assessment). Lasting bitterness. Medium to medium high carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a hazy beige color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of floral hops with a mix between some citrus hops with resinous notes is quite exquisite. Taste is a super great mix between huge floral notes of citrus hops with some resinous notes with a good malt backbone with just enough sweetness to sustain the hops presence. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Huge hops bomb with more floral then bitter notes.

Bottle @ Dan’s house, courtesy of arminjewell. Muchas gracias! Pours a dark brown appearance with a fluffy, rich brown head. Rich juicy, a bit tangy fruity, whiskey, chocolate aroma. Tangy, a bit burnt chocolate malty, light coffee, tart fruity, juicy dark berry, vanilla, woody flavor. Fruity flavor. A bit disappointing.

Bottle at Chriso - 25/09/12 thanks to Ken/Madmitch 76 (I think!) for this one. Very dark brown with a thin tan head. Dark malts, light smoke, sour tones and a whiff of piss on the nose. Taste follows nose with the flavour of a Belgian stout eveident and a light scattering of coffee thrown in. Tones of wheat and grain in the background. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation keading to a smooth finish. Pretty average, looks the part but doesn’t really deliver.
