Description
Pictish Brewing Company is a small independent brewery established in April 2000 by Richard Sutton. Early in 2013 Richard decided to opt for an easier life and skive off leaving things in the hands of his old friend Paul Wesley. We brew a wide variety of high quality cask conditioned ales and deliver direct to the licensed trade in the Lancashire, Manchester and West Yorkshire areas.

Cask @ Pumproom, Halifax. Straw-blonde with a thin head. Has a light hoppy nose, is mostly hoppy in taste, with a hint of fruit.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 31st May 2017. Pale Gold with shallow white lacing foam. Lemony citrus aroma. Nutty malts and tangy citrus in-mouth, and a vibrant combination of the two in the finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a light body.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a thin head. Hoppy with a light berry-sweetness.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 23 April 2017) Hazy golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, pineapple, bready malt and grass. Malty, fruity taste with bread, citrus, hay, pineapple and a balanced citric/tropical bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

Cask @ Cask, Manchester. Blonde with a thick creamy head. Hoppy but bland in this respect. Its smooth texture is very pleasant though, and there’s a hint of berry-fruit in its nose.
