Description
Pictish Brewing Company is a small independent brewery established in April 2000 by Richard Sutton. Early in 2013 Richard decided to opt for an easier life and skive off leaving things in the hands of his old friend Paul Wesley. We brew a wide variety of high quality cask conditioned ales and deliver direct to the licensed trade in the Lancashire, Manchester and West Yorkshire areas.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 2007. Gold colour with bubbly thin white head. Odd hoppy aroma. Quite good in mouth, fullish, some juiciness and tehn nice hop finish. Citrusy. Sweetish nose. Sweetish malt and citrus in mouth. Bit of toffee. Nice enough.

(Cask at GBBF, London, 2 Aug) Colour is golden with green tinges, small head. Nose is hoppy with citrus (grapefruit, lemon) and a dominant grassy hop aroma. Taste is fruity, hoppy and grassy with grapefruit and lemon. Balanced sweetness, light to medium body. Long bitter finish with a nice citrussy hop character. Very nice.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival July 7th, 8th 2006. Poured golden and like Glenn say’s it was very lively with a large white frothy head. Nice aroma of hops led to a wonderfully citrusy refreshing slightly dry beer. This is another brewery who seem to make some super beers and whilst I prefer their Alchemist this was certainly another super beer.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival Sat 18th Feb. A wonderful aroma that was citrusy, floral and hoppy. A lovely straw coloured beer with small clean head. Instant fresh taste that was crisp and dry with plenty of fruitiness and hoppiness resonating around, slight bitterness. A very good beer.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A golden/amber beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and caramel - and so is the flavor.
