Description
Pictish Brewing Company is a small independent brewery established in April 2000 by Richard Sutton. Early in 2013 Richard decided to opt for an easier life and skive off leaving things in the hands of his old friend Paul Wesley. We brew a wide variety of high quality cask conditioned ales and deliver direct to the licensed trade in the Lancashire, Manchester and West Yorkshire areas.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 22/11/08. Almost black with a decent tan head that left a lot of lacing. Roast malt and dark chocolate aroma. Flavour had tonnes of roasted malt, a touch of toffee sweetness, dark slightly tart fruits and a long, bitter finish. Very drinkable and excellent.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 7/10/08. Golden coloured with a slight, but lacy white head. Hoppy aroma with floral, pine and citrus notes and some accompanying sweetness. Flavour started with some sweetish, digestive like malt before the hops took over again, with some refreshing juiciness and a long dry, citrus finish. Great stuff.

Cask gravity at White Horse, Hedgerley. Pale gold. Nettley herby hop profile. Eek. It’s quite distinctive, not sure it entirely works.

Cask gravity at White Horse, Hedgerley. I had this twice as I liked it so much. Lots of citrus sherberty hop. That’s really really lovely. Could drink that all night. Doesn’t taste of 6% at all.
