(Cask at Crescent, Salford, 25 July 2009) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with lemon, pineapple and grass. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, grass and a touch of grapefruit and resin in the finish. Rather light body with balanced sweetness and lots of aroma hops (as expected with Pictish). Nice and refreshing.

(Cask at Railway, Stockport, 24 July 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, grass, hay and a touch of toffee. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, grass and a slightly tart grapefruit bitterness that emerges after a while. Fairly light body, nice hop character. Tasty.

(Cask at Crown, Stockport, 24 July 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, hints of grass and toffee. Hops actually leaning slightly in the Saaz direction (managed to find out it’s actually Bramling Cross and Pacific Gem). Fruity, malty taste with citrus, grass, pineapple, toffee and a generous citrussy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, rather sweet. Nice and tasty.

Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty malty, grain, hay, toasted, moderate to light heavy hoppy, flowers, perfume, citrus, lime, soap. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Fresh. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090718]
