Cask, Marble Arch Inn, Manchester. Clear light gold colour with a good looking white head and superb wee bit of lace. Nose had heaps of fragrant hoppage and fresh citrus. Clean, crisp, bright and fresh, this was in great condition. Fruitiness and hoppiness all in perfect proportion. So very downable. Bitterness quite pleasantly restrained and a lovely balance. Yay, yay and thrice yay !!

Cask. Clear golden with a lovely creamy white head leaving some laces. Lovely citrusy Cascade aroma. Medium body, low carbonation and a soft mouthfeel, sweet fruity notes and again citrusy hops. Lightly hoppy finish. 180110

28th September 2007. St Albans Beer Fest. Another rate from this fest where I had had quite a few before getting to this one. Light and crisp. Lingering hop aftertaste. Vinous. Clearly I enjoyed it - hope to try it again!

Thames Tipple Leg 8, Staines, Shepperton, Walton on Thames etc 29-11-09 Had this on the way home at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common, Bucks Pours almost black in colour, flat in appearance and in truth lacking much sparkle in the mouth. I only had a small sample of this but too be honest whilst absolutely fine, by Pictish standards I found it a little lacking. There was coffee, thin chocolateyness and some maltiness both in the mouth and on the nose, but it came across as being a little thin and rather watery, uncomplicated others may describe this, I found it just a little boring. Cask gravity at Oxford Beer Festival, 15-10-09 Pours hazy light gold with a lovely bubbly white head. By Pictish standards I found this a little tame, that said it was tasty, fruity and with a reasonable smattering of hops. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

(Cask at Crescent, Salford, 25 July 2009) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with lemon, pineapple and grass. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, grass and a touch of grapefruit and resin in the finish. Rather light body with balanced sweetness and lots of aroma hops (as expected with Pictish). Nice and refreshing.

(Cask at Railway, Stockport, 24 July 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, grass, hay and a touch of toffee. Fruity taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, grass and a slightly tart grapefruit bitterness that emerges after a while. Fairly light body, nice hop character. Tasty.
