On tap at Coach and Horses, Dronfield - cloudy urine sample coloured body. No head. Acidic nose, acidic harsh taste. Made the inside of mu cheeks bleed. A case of being too brave from me.

On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Opaque black, thin beige head. Nose is roast coffee, dark chocolate, burnt grains. Taste has all the usual bitterness, the dusty chocolate mouthfeel, bitter ending. Decent.

On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Deep opaque black body, long lasting beige topper. Nose is all about the roast and toast, coffee, chocolate, liquorice. Taste nice bitter finish. Well rounded. Porter by the numbers. Drone Valley seem to specialise in very good dark beers.

Bottle. Ferndale garden centre, Coal Aston, near Sheffield. Pale amber. Soft haze. Thick, sudsy, off white head. Nose has perfumed flora. Runny honey. Some apricot jam. Very bath salt like, in a decent way. Taste is semi sweet, with a floral bitterness. Light to medium body, with a clean mouthfeel. Perfume like, bitter finish. Decent, and certainly a lot better than the first I had from this brewer.

On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield. A deep ruby, white head that laces through. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel and cake fruits. Oily on the palate with the vinous fruits and caramel carrying through with a little boozy kick at the end.

On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Deep clear amber body, thick lasting white head. Nose is caramel, cane sugar, ripe fruit and toffee. Syrupy mouthfeel, a little oily, but not as intrusive as feared. Bit on the sweet side, but nice enough.
