500 ml bottle from BIBCO, $7! Pours a hazy mix of amber and cherry, with a fizzy, temporary head. Nose has that farmhouse funk, with sidebar of tea and flower pedals. Taste has more sourness than funk, candi malt, some tart cherry (since that was my impression from the nose). Makes my tongue curl up against it, which can be a good thing. Alcohol is there, too, with gentle warming.

Slightly hazy pour in its plastic cup. Sweet smell with definite Belgian malts. Taste brings together malt and a bit of candi sweetness, not much bitterness. And a friendly slight burn of alcohol. A great dive bar Belgian.

Draught @ the taproom (Aug 2024). Dark brown with red highlights, very small frothy beige head, woodsy tart aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter woodsy caramel taste, faint tartness, thin body, long finish. Not terribly remarkable.

Draught @ the taproom (Aug 2024). Opaque dark brown with a small foamy beige head, dark roasted malt-mocha aroma, low carbonation, bitter roasted malt taste with molasses and alcohol undertones, smooth thin body, long bitter finish. A nice stout.

Sunny day BIBCo's Witch-O-Rama Market, this seems most appropriate with a humongous burrito. Bright Star color, work either haze or condensation on the cup. Light malt and maybe some corn nose. A refreshing taste, just a little sweet, in fact, a bit of a citrus impression. Floral hops are just enough to keep the sweetness in check.

Draft at BIBCo. Slightly hazy gold color. Mild smell of grain, with a note of hop. Taste is nicely distinct from big beer Kolsch-style, as it has a nice mix of cracker toasted malt, balanced by mild bitterness. A note of fresh yeast.

500ml bottle. Unique. Not unlike a Faro in some respects, not a biting lemony sour. Funky oak wine barrel complexity. Not overboard in its sourness, remains pretty drinkable. Has some of the pleasant tones of an authentic lambic, but all the pieces aren't there. Still a nice beer to try.

16oz can. Classic US Amber Ale. Not that removed from an Irish Red. Pleasant malt depth. Sessionable but not thin. Good.

16oz can. Somewhere between an APA and a hazy. Old school hop tone...some decent bitterness, but also a little smooth and sweet with the presumed oat or wheat addition. Drinkable, but generally mediocre, stylistically murky.

16.9oz bottle. 10.3% 2022/2023 version. Pink-red unfiltered body. Hibiscus and Rose hip notes are nice. Rather dry for a beer of its strength, which is nice. I get a lot of unique rose hip tones the more I sip at it. Plays well with the saison yeast. If this had the effervescent body of a conditioned Belgian, it would really be something special. As it is, it is still quite enjoyable. Unique.
