From a 330ml bottle on 13/6/2014. Pours a dark brown with a medium head. The aroma is all smoked meat. The flavour features more smoked meat, bacon, roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Has a firm, slightly soapy, metallic bitterness at the back. Has a medium body and relatively lively carbonation. Quite a nice smoked beer, though the finish is just a little bit odd.

Bottle, 10C. Cloudy pale amber with a white head. Aroma of lime leaf, weeds, biscuit. Light bodied, too fizzy. Sweet biscuit, moderate bitterness, really pretty dry at the end. Very Australian lime/ grass/ weeds. Old fashioned but good.

Bottle. Brown with a modest light beige head. Subtle chocolate and bread aroma, a touch of grape. Light bodied, lowish carbonation. Gentle caramel, chocolate, bread, slightly fruity. Bare hint of bitterness. Amiable but a tad meek - but that’s brown ale.

Bottle, 12C. Dark brown with a modest tan head that doesn’t last. Aroma of mocha, Indian sweetmeats (cardamon burfi) , blackberries. Smooth, but carbonation is a just a little high to be silky. Roasted and chocolate flavours sit amongst treacle and Indian sweet-like malts. Fairly sweet and doesn’t really dry out much, but the whole thing is lightened by quite high and slightly spicy bitterness. Very nice..Was pleased to find this in Qld, now they decide to come to Vic. Fresher bottle, home glass? - looks fine. Impressive.

Dark brown, nice head. Aroma hints at a rich, fudgey balanced brew. Full body, creamy and delicious. Sweet accent, just enough hop. Really nice stout.
