Description
Hello and welcome to Brothers Cider, the home of the original festival cider. We are Francis, Jonathan, Matthew and Daniel and for 14 generations, since 1658, when uncle Gabriel first sold his barrels around Wells, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury, our family has strived to make light, refreshing ciders using a variety of fruit. We are constantly exploring new recipes and love to get your feedback on our latest creations.
We first started selling our Pear Cider at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995 near what was then called the Jazz World Stage. These days it is called The West Holts Stage but our bar is still in the same place. Over the years, festival goers kept asking us if it was possible to get our drink when the festival was over and so we decided to market it to pubs and supermarkets. Now you can get it all over the country and at other festivals besides Glastonbury. See you at the bar!

Bottle @ home shared with my girlfriend. Clear dark golden color, virtually no head. Aroma is sweetness, apple, a hint of cinnamon, apple pie. Taste is very sweet and apple pie with a touch of cinnamon. Average body, low carbonation. Hmm don’t really like it, apple pie ain’t my thing.

On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head that dissipates immediately and completely. Aroma has earthy pear with a bit of sugary sweetness. Flavor has earthy pear with a syrupy sweetness the grows.

Big fucken can @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor Fort Collins and shared with LeninCat. Pours a clear golden appearance with a fizzy white head that quickly disappears. Buttery, slightly burnt/caramelized, apple/pear, white wine, nasty aroma. Spritzy, apple juice, white grape, candy, pear, lightly tart, soda flavor. Worst perry I’ve ever had. Hard to drink.

500ml bottle. Cloudy orangey-golden colour, thin white foam head and aroma of tart apple & slight barnyard. Taste is juicy apple, with apple skin, hay plus some tartness and sweetness. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable

500ml bottle from backstage at Thekla, Bristol. Only managed a sip of this before throwing away. Has a needlessly strong alcohol taste, sharp tart character and poisonously sweet pear taste. Hard to imagine people buying this and actually enjoying it.
