A coppery beer, a head is almost medium and blond. Aroma has caramel, strawberries, some citrus. Taste has toffee, also richness of malts, nicely strong bitterness, some wood, hint of fruits. Medium bodied. Closer to ESB. Quite nice.

[ As Thwaites Rum Porter ].Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, rum. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, sweet malt, rum, dark malt. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, pale malt, fruity malt, sweet fruit. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, sweet fruit, pale malt, orange. Cask at the Clog & Billycock. Rebadged as the house ale, but abv and description are the same. Pours clear golden amber with a thick creamy head. Aromas of light malt, red fruit and honeycomb. Taste is light sweet, more red fruit. Light chalkiness on the finish.

Bottle at home, from Emma and Rob, 7th January 18. Pours a copper colour. Aroma is pine and citrus. Taste is fairly hoppy, some caramel, citrus and pine. Quite good.

Hazed golden color with a fine thick white head. Ok mild hoppy aroma. Fine body and a soft carbonation level. Ok balanced sweetness and bitterness. Mild pleasant citric flavor. Decent session able and quite ok hopped cask ale.

0.33 l can from local 'REWE', best before September 2018. Clear, very dark amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, moderately fruity and quite resiny aroma of caramel, orange jam, ginger bread, mango and pine. Quite sweet, just slightly bitter, fruity, resiny and slightly herbal taste of orange jam, mango, ginger bread, caramel, pine and some tea leaves, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather resiny, slightly dry and a bit herbal finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice old school IPA, not too intense but extremely well-balanced and round, highly sessionable!
