Clear golden yellow with a biggish head for a cask ale, great lacing. Fresh grass aroma with some lemon and black pepper, slight background of citrus. Bitter beginning, dry finish. Nice malt and hop balance. Medium body. Mellow cask ale, served a bit too cold, but drinkable overall.

Cask at C’est What? on 10th June 2008. A hoppy, pale straw-coloured cask bitter with the texture and flavour of Milton Sparta, but rather stronger and heavier.

Draught at C’est What?, Toronto, Canada on 10th June 2008. Exquisitely hoppy, pleasant mouthfeel and bitter aftertaste. In the style of an American Pale Ale, again compares well with Dark Star APA.

Tap at C’est What: Poured a light black color porter with a light foamy head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of dry coffee with light roasted malt notes. Taste is also dominated by dry coffee notes with some light bitter roasted malt notes. Dryness is well balance with good carbonation but body is somewhat thin. Not bad for the style but nothing to write home about as well.

Tap at C’est What: Light brown ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of hazelnut and chocolate syrup with a very sweet finish. Taste is also dominated by the sweet hazelnut and chocolate syrup. Body is a bit thin for the style with good carbonation and a nice creamy texture. I thought this was too sweet to drink a whole pint and a bit too fake with the syrup really dominating.

Has a quickly descending creamy head that leaves a similar lacing. Pale amber color to the body. Nice caramel aroma with floral notes and a lot of malts. Taste is pretty good fruity, slightly sweet... good amount of hops. Pleasant malts. Easy going down and definitely not too thin. Pretty good.
