bbf 2026 on an added label, I believe the bottle is from 2017 or older, label mentions the project being started in 2014
nice herbal and flowery aroma with notes of honey, saison yeast. there is also a faint flowery bitter note i can't place. 7/10
Flavor is flowery, herbal, honey like flavor but not much sweetness, a somewhat herbal bitter ending. it is very smooth and well blended, the herbs are warm and sort of sweet,
the flowers and the very slightly sourish saison notes do good balance. 7/10
ov 14/20
again a well balanced wild or semi-wild ale from kissmeyer that has aged really well and shows no bad signs of aging after at least 8 years, possibly 10 years.

Bottle shared in NH - picked up in MA years ago. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, white head. Holds some dried pine needles, crispy pale grains, biscuits, lemon peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more biscuits, nips of caramel, citrus peel. Fine overall.

Thnx to Sam. Pours rather clear, warmer blonde. Decent white head. Smell is sharp, bit acidic, perfumy. Taste is sweet, honey, sharp grains. Very high carbo. Buttery sweetness. Rather sticky. Mild bitter touch. Bit of yeastyness as well. Ok at best.

750mL bottle, batch 20, drunk 12/19/16.
Lightly gushing, pouring a deep maize-golden body, good clarity, leaving the sediment behind. Large white head is well-retained.
The nose smells strongly of honey mixed in with light hay, grass, herbs and soft, mineral-rich yeast influences. Enlightenment/Idle Hands has a great Belgian yeast character showing no banana or bubble gum and full of black pepper and mellow fruits and this one is no exception. This definitely has a lot of age on it and it even sat warm on the shelf. It’s impressive that all you get from the oxidation is just nuanced honey, which adds a good layer of complexity and doesn’t disrupt the beer at all.
In the mouth, it’s nicely dry but with succulent malts still adding a soft texture. Honey flavor, be it from the oxidation and/or clean malts is delightful and works well with the peppery phenols and soft, rustic character of the beer. Grass, herbs, fruity esters and tight carbonation make for a very drinkable experience. Excited for Ben’s return.

750 ml bottle shared by Sebilinz, thanks!
Orange, hazy body, with a massive, frothy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of flowers, sweet bread, sweet fruits, some spices, some herbs.
Tastes of flowers, perfume, herbs, spices, bread, sweet fruits, some yeast.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a fizzy carbonation.
Finishes bone dry, floral, herbal, medium bitter, yeasty, slightly fruity.

Nice one. Quite intense, with lots of floral and herbal/spicy notes, maybe a bit too much. Overall not among my favourite style examples, while still interesting stuff.

Grand tasting at Craft Islington with Hackobock. Thanks to Leighton. Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and airy with decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts. Sweet floralness. Some champagne vibe, a nice crisp white wine thing. Modest fruits. Smooth finish. Very light for it’s abv and very drinkable.

Bottle split at Hacobok Tasting, thanks to Leighton, 24/11/16. Very lightly hazed golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is pissy lemon whispers, champagne yeast, straw, soft bread. Taste comprises pale malts, lemon drizzle cake, straw, yeast tinges, caramel, damp straw, citric rinds, light pissoi. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok offering ... drinks well below the stated ABV but also fails to deliver the depth such an ABV commands!
