Cask (gravity) @ 32th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2015, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Otley Beetroot Stout ].ABV: 5.2%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee - chocolate, dark roasted, earthy, dark malt. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, earthy, sweet malt, sweet roasted - chocolate, roasted, beetroot - earthy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151205] 7-3-7-3-15

2016 catch up - bottle at home - Feel like it’s trying to be a Duvel, but that is possibly just the bottle shape. A slightly odd flavour; bitter and yeast and not something I liked, but interesting to try.

A very nice and very strong IPA; possibly a double. A taste of hops and also of wood, the latter being most pleasant and really adding to the flavour. All in all a very nice beer and would happily drink it again, but not sure you would be able to drink 2 in a row.

Pendle Beer Festival 2017. Golden coloured with an easy-drinking texture and a grainy-hoppy nose. Very light sugary-fruitiness in taste.

On tap at the Three Horseshoes, Waddington. Golden colour with a white head. Hoppy aroma with citrus and tropical fruits. Taste fruity citrus light sweet, to mid bitter. Medium body. Easy to drink refreshing and tasty.

Golden beer, barely any aroma. Taste is light, sweet and lemony with a bit of a bitter hoppy hit. Touch sickly though.

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 2/9/2016. Deep Gold in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Punchy saison, with yeasty stone and lemon fruits, perfumed hops and grainy malts, leading to a spicy, dry, finish with a boozy kick. Good.
