On tap. Comes as "Monks Light Lager". A clear, pale golden beer with a fine creamy head leaving neat curtains of lace. Very clean aroma of malts and flowery hops. Light-bodied with a clean maltiness, flowery hops and a dry, lightly bitter finish. 011108

Draught at Monks Sveavägen, Stockholm. On January 24, 2009as "Monks Café Bavarian Pils"Clear pale golden color, smallish white head. Dry malty scent, a bit to the acidic side. Herbal hoppy taste. Bottle, 5.0%. OK malty aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Small head. The flavour starts off quite sweet and nicely malty. There is a good spiciness to balance, not like from ordinary hops. It tastes as if it comes from spices that have been added, but that is hardly the case with a German beer.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a very cloudy - almost muddy - amber golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweet and fruity nose. Light body with malts and caramel and even a whiff of vitamin-C. No actual bitterness. 141208

On tap. Hazy, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Sweetish, fat aroma of banana and yeast and some alcohol. Quite full-bodied, sweetish banana and cloves and a heavy, sweet fruitiness. No bitterness. Intense and pleasant. 011108

Unclear amber with medium beige head. Sweet and somewhat spicy aroma with toasted malt and caramel notes. Malty flavour with caramel and hoppy notes. Mild bitter finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a fully gone head. Mild malty aroma with a light hops note showing through. Medium dry malty, light roasted and mild bitterness. Ends medium dry and somewhat malty.

Draught@SBWF2008. Hazy coppery colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is wheat, caramel, some dark fruits and mild notes of yeast. Flavour is quite much the same along with a sweet sting of alcohol. Also some spices as it gets warmer.

Draught@SBWF2008. Hazy orangeish golden colour with small foamy white head. Aroma is fruity, bready malts as well as some slight earthyness. Flavour is fruity and flowery hops along with some slight caramel malts. Mild notes of nuts lurking in the background. Semibitter finish.
