The brewery has been family-owned since it was founded and is now managed by Mark Pfeffer, being the 5th generation. The old brewing craft is maintained by him - because he attaches great importance to the fact that original beers with character are brewed in his brewery.

Was „Durandl“ bedeutet musste ich erst googeln. Again what learned - wie Lothar Matthäus vermutlich sagen würde.

Brown. Aroma is green malt with chestnut and something burnt. Taste is sweetish malt with some strange burnt ash notes. Pretty light and rich but also quite unpleasant with this burnt stuff.

500 ml bottle. Murky dark brown with a creamy head. Toffee, robust malt, coffee, lemon zest, dark chocolate, tobacco, roasted malt, resin. Dry bitterness, malty sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy roasty malty finish. What a pleasant surprise!
