Our Ales Of Outstanding Natural Beauty are brewed right here beneath the chimney at Holmes Mill. Just behind our famous Beer Hall a dedicated team of artisan brewers craft a collection of cask beers inspired by the outstandingly beautiful landscape of Bowland.
Bowland Brewery started life as a microbrewery on the edge of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making a selection of beers named after the scenery and wildlife of this picturesque corner of Lancashire.

Bottle thanks to my step-dad. Pours yellow gold with a light haze and a thin white head. Aromas of light lemon and straw. Taste is light sweet lemon and faint malt. Thin finish.

Sample@GBBF2018, London, with the Malmö crew - pours golden with a white head. Sweet pale bready malty, light doughy yeast, with some vague citrus fruity notes, watery light body, fruity and subdued hoppy finish.

[ As Bowland Bumble ].
ABV: 4.0%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, vegetable, light bready - doughy. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, vegetables, sweet malt honey, fruity malt, floral, light bread - dough. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20180807]

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry and with low carbonation. Thin malts, mildly sweet and grainy. Insipid citric hop. Light dry finish. A bit flat and insipid.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep amber with a decent head. Nose - toffee, light nuts. Taste - more toffee, honey, orange liqueur. Palate - light bodied anda bit sweet. Overall - a bit too sweet. Probably fits under Mild style.

Bottle from Booths, Penwortham, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of nutty malt, faint spice. Taste is metallic caramel. Sweet finish. Barely any hops noticeable.

Cask at the 4th Olds & Bolds Beer Festival, Footscray Rugby Club, Eltham, April 2018. Amber pour with a white head. Caramel, toffee, lots of malt in the aroma. Citrus, caramel and a splash of orchard fruit in the flavour. Not bad.

Cask at Red Lion, Egham. Hazy citrus aroma Pale gold. Thick foamy white head. Light sour citrus with a bitter edge. Underlying malts. Light bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Dry finish. Decent refreshing gold.
