This is a beer with a style identity crisis ! Laims to be an IPA (not strong or hoppy enough) while RB has it as a golden ale (too dark). I would call it a Best Bitter. Anyway, bottle from British Local Craft. Nose is somewhat vague, but has sweet malts along with nuts. Pours the classic “bitter brown” with a small cream head. Floral hops are to the fore in the mouth along with pepper and hints of summer fruits, on top of a sweet malt and caramel base. Finish is fairly dry and bitter. Whatever it is – it’s very nice !

Bottle from the Bowland Beer Company, Clitheroe. Hazy golden-blonde with a small head. A little watery in texture but despite this its mild sweetness to an otherwise hoppy character makes it a very suppable and flavoursome 'blonde' styled ale at an easy strength, with a light fruitiness. It's very sessionable.
