Thanks Simon. Smooth mild beginning. Rich and deep, creamy caramel, soft grain. Hints of sourness, soft refreshing with a creamy malty deep finish. Nice.

Bottle from Morrisons, High Wycombe. Bronzey-gold with a middling fizz and a white head. Minerals and metal up front. A bit of lemon and grass. Dryish finish. Not a fan, but at least it's a new brewery tick for me.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 2, 03/08/22. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a good sized off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is tangy fruits, twiggy, hedgerow, grains. Taste comprises faint honey notes, stewed fruits, hedgerow, grass. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. So so affair like most honey flavoured beers.

Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours a golden amber with a faiz-sized white head and good lacing. Malts to the fore in the aroma, plus some hints of nuts. In the mouth it has a distinct creamy texture and is slightly sweet overall. Flavours of toffee, honey and some dried fruit. Later summer fruits come through. Finish is slightly dry and fruity. This is decent. Would call it a bitter not a golden ale though.

Rocky white head left a froth on a clear copper coloured body. Malt, biscuit & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, lively with a cloying back. Malt, caramel, grain, toffee & honey tastes with a tangy lightly hopped finish. Decent enough.
