Bowland Brewery started life as a microbrewery on the edge of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making a selection of beers named after the scenery and wildlife of this picturesque corner of Lancashire.

Clitheroe Beer Festival 2024. Deeper hazy reddish-pink in colour. Fair weiss style and has a lightly smoked character in taste. Bitter-sweet aftertaste with its smokiness also evident here.

Clitheroe Beer Festival 2024. Darker brown in colour. Quite soft for its strength and less boozy than expected. Liquorice is what I found here, not much else.

Bottle from Bowland Food Hall, Clitheroe. Dark amber with a head. Deeper tasting traditional brew with hints of spice. Certainly not lying in its own description.
