Bowland Brewery started life as a microbrewery on the edge of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making a selection of beers named after the scenery and wildlife of this picturesque corner of Lancashire.

660 ml bottle from simontomlinson, cheers fella. Aroma: sweet malts, grains, bread, lemon. Taste: moderate sweet & light to moderate bitter. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Perhaps a bit sweet but real nice flavours

Bottle from the brewery, thanks to simontomlinson. Pours clear gold with a white foam. Aroma: grains, bread, caramel, honey, floral hop. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, light citrus, a little hoppy with a little sweet honey. Medium body with soft carbonation. No bad.

Bottle from simontomlinson, thanks fella. Pours pale chestnut with a beige foam. Aroma: light sweet malts, caramel, earthy hops, fruity hedgerow. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, fairly dry, fruity, caramel, orange, light spicy hop finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. Fairly decent English IPA

Cask at GBBF '23, day 2, 02/08/23. Clear golden meets light copper with a good sized lasting just off white head. Nose is biscuit, grains, straw, dried fruit esters. Taste comprises grass, biscuit, herb, stewed fruits, grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitter edge. Okay golde.

5/8/2023. Cask at The Cherry Tree Beer Festival 2023. Pours clear golden orange with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of honey, malt, medicine, flowers, vanilla. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Watery, very soft carbonation. Not the best on show today.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet pale malts, touch of honey. Ripeish citrus, floral. Light semi dry finish. Decent flavour could be in better nick.

Rocky white head on a chill hazy pale straw coloured body. Grain, malt & cardboard aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & creamy with a sharp back. Grain, biscuit, light malt & bubble gum tastes with a sharp tangy finish. Refreshing.

Creamy white head on hazy golden coloured body. Sweet, peach & pale malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp clean back. Peach, bubble gum, honey & grain tastes with a lightly hopped finish. Lovely Quaffer.

Bottle from local Morrison's. Pours clear gold with a white cap. Malt, maybe a smidge of caramel, honey, some citrus. Medium body with soft carbonation. A bit twiggy / mundane, but it's a new brewery tick.
