500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious fruity hoppy aroma, some minimally soapy bitter hop, caramel malt basis, cereals. Taste is cautiously fruity hoppy, hints of peach and mango, caramel malty basis, bitter hoppy overtones; bitter hoppy finish.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s. It pours hazy red-amber with a medium light tan head. The nose is earth, pine, light spice, juicy fruit, caramel, toast and resin. The taste is bitter, earthy, resinous, toast, pine, alcohol warmth, brown bread and some astringency with a very dry bitter finish. Medium+ body and moderate-high carbonation. Good deal of bitterness. Another rather good beer from Allendale.

Bottle, shared at Bruce’s. It pours hazy deep amber with a small white head. The nose is fresh pine, stewed orange, juicy, Irn Bru, bubblegum, varnish and sweet permanent marker pen. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy, varnish, resin, orange and bread with a very dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smells pretty nice, but it is a touch too dry and earthy in my opinion. Decent nonetheless.

The taste is bitter, woody, grass, resin, light alcohol, some astringency, earth and a touch of herbs with a dry, rather bitter finish. Medium body and fine-foamy carbonation. Smells great and don’t taste bad either. Nice wok Allendale.

Keg at The Free Trade Inn, Byker. Hazy straw yellow with little to no head. Aromas of cooked corn and straw. Taste has more of the same, and a very faint bitterness. OK lager.
