Clear amber in colour, with a small white head. The aroma was almost all purely malt, but some hops were present. The taste was definately a bit 'nutty', but other flavours such as malt and a tiny bit of hops crept up in the aftertaste as well. A decent beer, but really...nothing special. I had this one out of the same bottle with DougShoemaker given to us by Lyle Ostrow at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York.

On draught at Lazy Chameleon in Powell, OH. Dark orange-amber color with a thin off-white head. Lacing is very light. Nice hoppy citrus aroma. I was pleased by the flavor. Medium-bodied with a nice mix of hops, citrus and light malt. Not as hoppy as most of the better IPAs out there but not a wasted attempt either. The finish is bitter although it fades throughout the glass. I'd get it on draught again.

Gold colour if that....very light with a large-bubbled head. Tons of large bubbles rising from the bottom is not that great of a sight either. Smells like a normal wheat, definately yeastie. Tastes like a pilsner at best and a bad one at that. Do not buy this summer beer, stick with some other big ones...they are better!

This is more like a regular English Pale Ale than an IPA - the hop presence just isn't high enough. Big citrus aroma, decent lacing. Substantial citrus in the flavor, with big malt presence for the style. Even some yeastiness to this one. Not a bad beer, but also not one to drink when in the mood for an IPA.

One thing struck me immediately upon opening this beer: its aroma is very similar to Goose Island Kilgubbin Red Ale. Flavor is between Kilgubbin and a doppelbock. Malty sweet, with a bready, bitter aftertaste. Kind of thin-bodied, however. I prefer the Doppelbocks.

A decent bock, though a tad thin-bodied. Nice brown color with a good lacing. There is a slightly spicy aroma. The flavor is malty and slightly sweet, with hints of cloves and caramel. The finish is watery and boring, though. A good beer for making the transition from cold to warm weather.

Dark brown...almost black in colour. No detectable aroma....but somewhat grapey. Definate sourness with a grape overload taste. A good spring beer with a nice fresh taste.

Dark golden brown in colour, with a nice almost white head. The smell of a strong ale is present, with some faint hoppiness. Tastes as if it has absolutely no carbonation, and the taste is very very mild. Goes down like water and the extent of the flavour is just about all in the smell. Too bad it doesn't taste as good as it smells!

Light amber colour, with a very small amount of head. Bright hoppy smell, just like an APA should! A medium-bodied beer with a fantastic hoppy taste which hits right in the middle....initially its soft and subtle, but then it hits...and then it fades away so gently! A great overall beer :)

Great golden colour, typical of an IPA...Hoppy smell, not overpowering, but a positive sign. A decent initial taste, but the flavour fades quickly, leaving very little to savour.
